Hygge Art

Hygge (pronounced hoo-gah) is the feeling of coziness and comfort, of being safe and secure, warm and loved. Solveig embraces hygge ideals in her artwork, creating a sanctuary from the stress of everyday life.

What the foo-gah is Hygge art

Hygge (pronounced hoo-gah) is a style of living and thinking that embraces comfort, simple pleasure, friendship, family love, balmy days in uncluttered space and time. Hygge art is beautiful, functional design from natural materials, serving a balanced, humane receptivity to life.

Solveig practices hygge in her desires for her life, her work and humankind as a whole. She want “peace on earth and goodwill to all men”. Her anthem is John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ and she is the change she wants to see. Solveig worships nature and comfort. Her loving soul expresses through her work that channels her feelings into shared reality.

Solveig paints from a respectful and grateful state of mind and feeling. She chooses to be happy. She sees her natural environment around her and delights in the belonging and simple innocence of the relationship.

As an artist, she wants to capture that special bond. Her paintings hold the viewers attention to nature’s delightful creativity and keep their focus long enough to be infected by appreciation and healing.

Acknowledging our roots in the natural world is nourishing. Stress can melt away and true living can begin again. Hygge roots are deep in nature. Deep in balance and harmony and sustainability, body, mind and soul.
