On a stroll by the river on a cloudless sunny day I  watched the blue sky reflecting off the river’s surface dappled with intense white sparkles. It was a fluid study of white on blue.  Simple and minimalist. I was inspired to paint its Zen-ness. I imagined how healing it would be to drink that blue, blue water sparkling with white light. It is with my tongue in my cheek that I called my painting “Sparkling Water”.
